In every heart there lives a rose amidst the prickly thorns,
Regardless of the daunting thicket guarding as it warns.
To the easily discouraged, those who won't the time, spare,
The rose remains obscure, non-existent, hidden there.

But to those who know beauty isn't always in plain sight,
They will take the time to look instead of taking flight.
When within a heart's discovered the beauty of the rose,
The thorns become softened as the rose, it larger grows.

Do not be mislead by thorns designed to disguise,
But seek the rose within a heart, where the beauty lies.
Focus on the beauty, encourage and cultivate,
Help one to grow their Rose Of Love instead of thorns of hate.

Words are just words, nothing more or less,
Regardless of what they say or attempt to address.
Words can be beautiful, delectable and sweet,
But with no supporting actions, are left obsolete.

Words can deliver a message to seem sincere,
Or paint a picture to make things appear
Like they are from the heart sent,
Like they are true, like they are meant.

But words are tools used well by deceivers,
To con the unsuspecting into believers.
Plastic Words are like plastic flowers,
As void of value as are dry showers.

But if they're said, from the heart truly sent,
They are then with meaning and with true intent.
Never put much stock into mere words until
The ones who spew them, act on them, fulfill.

Otherwise, take words with just a grain of salt.
Expect most of them to be empty by default.
But should you come upon one who follows through,
Such a soul is a keeper and one who's truly true.

The way to honestly learn how deep one's Love is and true,
Is when you hurt them, how affected they are by you.

Love that lives on or near the surface is easily wiped away,
Dismissed and soon forgotten, without feelings to linger, stay.
But Love that's true runs deeply with feelings strong, surreal
And when deeply in the heart one's hurt, it's difficult to heal.

So, if you hurt someone and they aren't very much affected,
Then they never really Loved you as they have to you projected.
But if you hurt someone and they're deeply devastated,
Then you know their Love is real and to be appreciated. 

If one Loves deeply, their Love will be stronger than the pain
That's been inflicted on them and will stand much to gain
If is set aside one's ego and its stubborn pride, 
Allow Love to work its magic and over them preside.

It is unfortunate that to learn if Love is true and real,
Hurt must be involved to know how deeply we feel.
To learn its depth and strength, Love must be tested,
Love's Magic only works when both hearts are invested.
