The more we invite added stress;
Our contentment and peace of mind
And true happiness, not apt to find."

"Gardener Of Love"
(image pending)
I'm not rich with money
And be, I never will
For it's not a path I've chosen
Nor in my garden, till.
Other things matter most
And always will to me,
Things born of Love
Our eyes can never see.
Only a humble heart
Can in their heart sow
The seeds producing flowers
Of Love to then only grow.
There is no room for ego;
There is no room for hate,
Nor for greed and selfishness,
With Love inside a garden's gate.
When we plant the seeds of Love,
It's a priceless, worthy toil,
Since all opposing weeds
Are then banished from our soil.
All the weeds of traits
Upon which the ego feeds,
Will have nowhere to germinate,
Where Love is all that breeds.
As with any garden growing,
There's a need for rays of sun,
But too, there must be rain
For growing to be done.
As better gardeners we become,
We learn that toil and pain
We must endure and overcome,
If we hope to harvest gain.
When we fertilize with kindness,
With compassion and with care,
With empathy and forgiveness,
We'll have lots of Love to share.
As our garden grows in riches
That can't be by money bought,
Only those with weedy gardens will
Resent us for what they haven't got.
Blessings we tend to overlook
And not realised, hence, before,
Love gives us the vision to see
How blessed we are and more.
Then for our many blessings,
With gratitude, we garnish
Our garden with more beauty,
To polish, instead of tarnish.
In the process of our growing
We learn what matters most,
That humility and modesty
Trumps ego within us to host.
We learn money and possessions
Are at best barely secondary
And cultivating traits of Love
Are foremost, first, and primary.
We learn that contentment
And a peaceful state of mind,
Brings happiness and joy
That by money we can't find.
We learn that our wants
Become then less and less;
As long as our needs are met,
Our life reaps happiness.
When our needs are met
Is when we have enough;
Is when we feel contentment,
With no want for other stuff.
I'm not rich with money
And be, I never will
But my garden's rich with Love,
Since Love I choose to till.
I'm not rich with money;
It matters not to me,
For I'm a Gardener Of Love,
As God wants me to be.

"Character rich, money poor
Trumps
Money rich, character poor."
~ Artsieladie Quote ♥
"Rich In Character"
(image pending)
Rich In Character is rich indeed
Without the fueling of evil's greed.
Rich In Character is quality traits
That, one's character, accentuates.
Being humble, honest, caring, and kind
Rewards one hosting a frame of mind
With having value and worth that affect
Positively their self esteem and respect.
Having lots of money and what it buys
Will not reward one with the prize
Of character richness to be by others awed
For the lust of money makes one badly flawed.
When one relies on money for happiness,
They subject themselves to undue stress
And a state of contentment they'll never find,
Since the lust for more will control their mind.
One Rich In Character needs not money to be,
With importance placed more on integrity.
One Rich In Character values the most
What money can't buy, brag of or boast.
Hence, rich in money but character poor
Is not ever a goal one should aspire for.
While Rich In Character should always be
The goal to seek of virtue and integrity.
What good is money to store away in a bank,
If the one possessing is really a skank?
What good is money without virtues to measure,
Where money scores zero, nothing to treasure?
What good is money in regards to self worth?
Money has no bearing when we leave this earth.
Pockets full of money and earthly possessions
Mean tiddly-squat at Judgment's Confessions.
Money and possessions at the Golden Gate
Have no value with God, carry zero weight.
A pauper with a heart that's humble and kind,
Selfless and honest, in Heaven we'll find.
But those rich with money and all it buys,
Driven by ego, lust, deceit, and lies,
Cannot enter through Heaven's Golden Gates.
In the fires of hell for them, satan awaits.
When we lust for money and all it buys,
Our richness in character we compromise.
But when we strive for virtue and integrity,
Then richness in character we guarantee.
True self worth, esteem, and respectfulness
Comes not from money as one's objectiveness,
But only from values and quality traits
That only one Rich In Character cultivates.

Howdy folks! ♥
When I saw this contest by Line Gauthier on Poetry Soup, I knew instantly, if I wrote a poem, it would have to be about the solitude I've always been able to soak in to free my deepest, truest place when surrounded by animals and nature. As a child, my solitude with nature was my 'safe haven' I would escape to, to heal my wounds of abuse and bullying and in this blissful, peaceful serenity is where I especially liked to draw, paint, and write. Hence, this poem... ♥
"Solitude With Nature"
(image pending)
In solitude I like to bask when I am all alone
With only Mother Nature in company with my own.
Animals and nature make welcoming to be,
A serene place of peace, where I am set free.
Ever since a child, when atrocities I faced,
My safe haven was with nature, where I felt embraced
And accepted in appearance with not a bit of shame,
With no one poking fun, making foul of my name.
In Solitude With Nature was my place of inspiration,
Where I would draw and write in pure liberation.
My canvases were painted from the beauty all around
And words flowed like rivers instead of being drowned.
God's Presence was surreal with no worldly intervention
And His Gift began to blossom as was His Intention.
My Mother's words felt real that I was a Gifted child,
As she often said lovingly and too, as she smiled.
With my pencil and my brush, as though a camera lens,
I captured my adventures with nature and my friends.
With my pen or pencil, too, I would break the chain,
As words set me free from my deepest, inner pain.
My Solitude With Nature is where my heart is expressed;
Where I'm freest, most inspired for the Gift with I am blessed.
Even when I can't return to bask in Mother Nature's solitude,
My memories take me back to where the world cannot intrude.

No hobble, no noose, no chain, nor rope,
Shall tame my spirit nor steal my hope.
My spirit, my heart, my soul, born free,
Shall remain unbroken as meant to be.
No form of control shall such a burden I bear
By those self serving, with arrogant air.
For I shall not be herded, corralled, restrained,
By those with agendas, for evil, ordained.
On the path least trodden, wild and free,
Where Love and Truth allures, entices me,
Not by force, but with Velvet Reins,
Not by deceit, but of Truthful Grains,
Is where my spirit, my heart does roam,
Is where my soul of loyalty rests at home.
For the Path of Truth, is Freedom’s Path,
The Path of Love and free of wrath.
From the Vineyards of Life’s Grapevine,
With Vessels of Love’s Sweetest Wine,
My thirst is quenched but still I aspire
To follow the Light, my internal desire.
My hunger satisfied, yet never completely,
For Grains of Truth appease me sweetly.
No hobble, no noose, no chain, nor rope,
Shall tame my spirit nor steal my hope.
My spirit, my heart, my soul, born free,
Thee Master of Love is Thee Master of me.

~ Artsieladie Poetic Quote
Greetings everyone, from Artsieladie! ♥
I would rather walk alone and hoe the rightful road
Than join in with others where bad seeds are sowed.
~ Artsieladie Quote ♥
"Walking Alone With My Lord"
I'd much rather walk alone,
With no company to be known,
If on their path will place at stake,
My soul in jeopardy thus will make.
I'd much rather a leader be,
Even if followers I cannot see.
For where I'm going see I must,
I shall not walk in others' dust.
So should I view up ahead,
Something wrong to cause me dread,
I then can seek an alternate route
And hope that others will follow suit.
I'm not one to blindly follow,
Drink of, eat, or even swallow,
What others serve, offer sweet,
Seemingly good for me to eat.
For it to tempt me from the right,
To lead me away from the Light,
With what could be deceitful bait,
To make Hell-fire my Eternal fate.
This is a price I'm not willing to pay,
To trade my soul and walk the way
That others walk with little care,
Leading them into deep despair.
I shall walk alone if I must,
In my Lord I place my Trust,
For as alone as I may appear,
My Lord, my God, is Always Near.
