Flying-Monkey

Howdy folks!

The term, 'flying monkey' is used in psychology, referring to a person who believes and believes in another person under false pretenses and is usually associated with narcissism and narcissistic abuse, since narcissists (narcs) are known as masters of manipulation (especially through gaslighting) and of disguise (many 'masks'; impostors); are pathological liars, are extremely arrogant (either to cover their high level of insecurity and low self esteem - 'vulnerable narcissism' or because they really believe they're perfect - 'grandiose narcissism')

The person believed in, projects themselves as one of good character, when in fact, they aren't. Narcs are shallow and spineless, lack the ability to empathize, love, feel remorse, or care about anyone other than themselves. They insatiably crave attention, respect, Love, admiration, adoration, acceptance, etc., but since their personality type ultimately undermines and destroys that which they crave, to compensate they're boastful, they lie, and manipulate to control another, unable to comprehend that the very tactics they're using are really working against them.

Flying monkeys believe in the goodness of another, though falsely projected, and are different than enablers, since enablers merely either go along with or cover up an abuser's bad behaviour. Empaths are particularly vulnerable, are easy targets for a narc and empaths provide narcs their 'narcissistic supply', which narcs feast on. Since empaths are caring, compassionate, and nurturing people, who see good in others, they're an easy mark for a narc.

"Flying Monkey"
Flying Monkey - poetry by Artsieladie
Image link:

was once your Flying Monkey,
For I believed so much in you.
I sang loudly your praises,
As Flying Monkeys often do.

To believe you to be a narc
Was farthest from my mind,
But a heart believing can
And often is so blind.

I defended you many times
Knowing I'd be reprimanded,
Ostracised, belittled;
As crazy, even branded.

Even when the red flags
Kept appearing one by one,
I then made excuses, many,
For your wrongful deeds done.

I was warned by others,
But when one's heart is true,
They will remain steadfast;
Stay loyal through and through.

The only colours that I saw
Were of rose coloured glass.
All your other colours hidden,
In a character, cruel and crass.

I gave willingly of my time.
Endless hours were consumed,
Doing things for you, your dream,
As your ego soared and bloomed.

When the red flags became
Too many to overlook, ignore,
To be fair with you, still,
Your reason I then asked you for.

Instead of appreciating
The chance I gave you to explain,
You attacked me viciously
And began your smearing campaign.

Your other Flying Monkeys
You then sicced them on me,
'Cause truth I'd learned about you,
Others might also learn and see.

No morals, no ethics,
No values, no integrity,
No remorse, no shame,
No compassion, no empathy.

You're just a narc
With no heart or soul;
Just emptiness inside,
A huge, black hole.

All these years and still,
Your stylus, never does it move.
Still arrogant and superficial
And stuck in your ego's groove.

But 'this' Flying Monkey
Has landed now on solid ground.
I see you for what/who you are
And truth rings a freedom sound.

All your Flying Monkeys
Can, your bidding, do,
But eventually all will learn
The truth and will bid you then, adieu.

Gardener-Of-Love

Howdy folks!

"The more we want to possess,
The more we invite added stress;
Our contentment and peace of mind
And true happiness, not apt to find."
~ Artsieladie Quote

"Gardener Of Love"
(image pending)

I'm not rich with money
And be, I never will
For it's not a path I've chosen
Nor in my garden, till.

Other things matter most
And always will to me,
Things born of Love
Our eyes can never see.

Only a humble heart
Can in their heart sow
The seeds producing flowers
Of Love to then only grow.

There is no room for ego;
There is no room for hate,
Nor for greed and selfishness,
With Love inside a garden's gate.

When we plant the seeds of Love,
It's a priceless, worthy toil,
Since all opposing weeds
Are then banished from our soil.

All the weeds of traits
Upon which the ego feeds,
Will have nowhere to germinate,
Where Love is all that breeds.

As with any garden growing,
There's a need for rays of sun,
But too, there must be rain
For growing to be done.

As better gardeners we become,
We learn that toil and pain
We must endure and overcome,
If we hope to harvest gain.

When we fertilize with kindness,
With compassion and with care,
With empathy and forgiveness,
We'll have lots of Love to share.

As our garden grows in riches
That can't be by money bought,
Only those with weedy gardens will
Resent us for what they haven't got.

Blessings we tend to overlook
And not realised, hence, before,
Love gives us the vision to see
How blessed we are and more.

Then for our many blessings,
With gratitude, we garnish
Our garden with more beauty,
To polish, instead of tarnish.

In the process of our growing
We learn what matters most,
That humility and modesty
Trumps ego within us to host.

We learn money and possessions
Are at best barely secondary
And cultivating traits of Love
Are foremost, first, and primary.

We learn that contentment
And a peaceful state of mind,
Brings happiness and joy
That by money we can't find.

We learn that our wants
Become then less and less;
As long as our needs are met,
Our life reaps happiness.

When our needs are met
Is when we have enough;
Is when we feel contentment,
With no want for other stuff.

I'm not rich with money
And be, I never will
But my garden's rich with Love,
Since Love I choose to till.

I'm not rich with money;
It matters not to me,
For I'm a Gardener Of Love,
As God wants me to be.

Stew-Of-Life

Howdy folks!

"The person who we are; the person who we carve
All depends upon what we feed and what we starve."
~ Artsieladie Quote

"Stew Of Life"
(image pending)

Think of your life as a delicious stew or sauce,
The more you keep it cooking, the less you'll want to toss,
If you're adding ingredients, character delicious
And for your soul, spiritually nutritious.

You will relish its flavour more, through and through,
The more you keep it cooking, the more you stir your stew.
The better it becomes, the better sauce you'll make,
If you keep your Stew Of Life cooking, barring any fake.

Ingredients added to your pot, keep adding to restore,
Things not to be forgot, like Love, kindness, more.
Ingredients to omit, so your stew gets bitter not,
Are hate, resentment, jealousy kept out of your pot.

It's important, too, to keep your flame adjusted
Stirring at a simmer, parts won't then get crusted.
Neither will your stew scorch, on the bottom, burn,
If you remember to keep giving your stew another turn.

Your stew will then be tasty, inviting, and delicious;
Your stew will warm hearts, be sustaining and nutritious.
Create your own blend, one that others cannot clone,
For you want your stew to be unique and all your own.

How you treat others' hearts, what you add to your stew,
Speaks in volumes unabridged, the unique dish of you.
Whether to be savoured or a flavour to refuse,
It's all up to you by the ingredients that you use.

Talking-Through-Our-Problems

Howdy folks!

"With the right approach, ANY problem can be solved,
When BOTH sides decide to keep their ego uninvolved."
~ Artsieladie Quote

"Talking Through Our Problems"
(image pending)

Talking Through Our Problems with the intent to resolve,
We deny the elements in our nature, preventing us to solve.
Talking Through Our Problems with resolution as our goal,
We exhibit we want harmony among us and every living soul.

Talking Through Our Problems with our egos set aside,
Problems get solved and guilt can't then hitch a ride.
Talking Through Our Problems with an honest, open frame of mind,
Valuable lessons are learned and when we're considerate and kind.

Egocentric people are immature, like to keep the drama stirred
And have no desire for solutions, as dissension is preferred.
Since their ego must be pleased, they must have their own way,
Making compromise impossible and resolutions kept in delay.

Talking Through Our Problems without the need to be right,
We allow our vision to expand to make greater then, our sight.
Talking Through Our Problems being honest and sincere,
We cultivate our courage to be greater than our fear.

Talking Through Our Problems, mindfully with respect,
Our personal differences have no influence, have no effect.
Talking Through Our Problems knowing we all have faults,
Blame becomes pointless among mature, rational adults.

Humble folks are more mature; they seek peace and harmony
And have learned the value of selflessness, as well, integrity.
Humble folks have open hearts without their ego in control
And therefore, value others' feelings that matter on the whole.

Talking Through Our Problems, violence is not a choice;
Revenge is off the table with understanding in our voice.
Talking Through Our Problems, we seek to compromise,
Where all sides give and take to reach a mutual enterprise.

Talking Through Our Problems to confront them fair and square,
Relieved then are our hearts, leaving us peace within to bear.
Talking Through Our Problems, the problems go away,
No longer lingering to steal our peace on any future day.

The wisest folks among us know, to avoid extra grief and misery,
Problems must be addressed and solved to keep peace and harmony.
Talking Through Our Problems to seek and obtain resolutions,
Minus the stupidness of our ego, we're wiser to then find solutions.

Rich-In-Character

Howdy folks!

"Character rich, money poor
Trumps
Money rich, character poor."
~ Artsieladie Quote

"Rich In Character"
(image pending)

Rich In Character is rich indeed
Without the fueling of evil's greed.
Rich In Character is quality traits
That, one's character, accentuates.

Being humble, honest, caring, and kind
Rewards one hosting a frame of mind
With having value and worth that affect
Positively their self esteem and respect.

Having lots of money and what it buys
Will not reward one with the prize
Of character richness to be by others awed
For the lust of money makes one badly flawed.

When one relies on money for happiness,
They subject themselves to undue stress
And a state of contentment they'll never find,
Since the lust for more will control their mind.

One Rich In Character needs not money to be,
With importance placed more on integrity.
One Rich In Character values the most
What money can't buy, brag of or boast.

Hence, rich in money but character poor
Is not ever a goal one should aspire for.
While Rich In Character should always be
The goal to seek of virtue and integrity.

What good is money to store away in a bank,
If the one possessing is really a skank?
What good is money without virtues to measure,
Where money scores zero, nothing to treasure?

What good is money in regards to self worth?
Money has no bearing when we leave this earth.
Pockets full of money and earthly possessions
Mean tiddly-squat at Judgment's Confessions.

Money and possessions at the Golden Gate
Have no value with God, carry zero weight.
A pauper with a heart that's humble and kind,
Selfless and honest, in Heaven we'll find.

But those rich with money and all it buys,
Driven by ego, lust, deceit, and lies,
Cannot enter through Heaven's Golden Gates.
In the fires of hell for them, satan awaits.

When we lust for money and all it buys,
Our richness in character we compromise.
But when we strive for virtue and integrity,
Then richness in character we guarantee.

True self worth, esteem, and respectfulness
Comes not from money as one's objectiveness,
But only from values and quality traits
That only one Rich In Character cultivates.

Outside-Looking-In

Howdy folks!

When you truly Love someone, with every fiber of your being, you can forgive them a gazillion times, wipe clean over and over their slate of mistakes; make tons of excuses for them and their behaviour; you can believe in them until the cows come home; you can overlook/accept their shortcomings; you can encourage them in every way you know of to shine; you can offer understanding up the wazoo and have the patience of Job... but if all the one you Love cares about is playing with you and your emotions/feelings and using your Love to use you, abuse you, hurt you, destroy you, then the only recourse you have left, is to quit, slam that door shut and bolt it, and don't look back.

Yeah, it's painful but in time you can heal, whereas, if you stay in a dead end, heart wrenching situation, you can NEVER heal, which a toxic person doesn't want you to heal. They want to keep your wounds they inflict, raw, gaping, and as painful as possible, since it is for them a main source of pleasure. Your crying, your pain, your suffering, your agony, is a turn on for them. They get a 'high' from your pain. Toxic people are toxic to themselves and everyone else they can possibly infect and loving such an individual is not only hopeless, but self destructive for sure, because the more you Love them, the more understanding, patient, forgiving, etc. you are, the more ammunition they invert to use against you. Narcs have no conscience, feel nothing, including remorse, and are therefore, incapable of Love. They loathe who they are and so, they use their ego to create a fake version of themselves, while everything about themselves they loathe, they then project it all onto others, and if you Love such a person, you'll get the brunt of their projections.

"Outside Looking In"
(image pending)

Once I wanted you in my life
To be a vital part.
Once you had an open invitation
To be inside my heart.
Once I admired you tremendously,
Held you in high regard,
Once you were important to me,
In my life you starred.

But then you destroyed it all,
A little bit at a time,
As you played me for a fool,
Like I'm not worth a dime.
But still, I didn't give up,
Gave you umpteen chances,
Made excuses for your behaviour,
Causing unpleasant circumstances.

I didn't want to think of you
As being a heartless narc,
But eventually you forced me to
See you're all black and dark.
There is no Love within you,
Only ego, spite, and hate.
You live to torment others,
In a pathetic, lifeless state.

The rose I saw within you
Turned out to be a fake;
Just another of your con jobs
To advantage of me, take.
I like to believe there's good
Inside of every heart,
But you've convinced me
You're void of any such part.

I thought...
If I Loved you enough,
The good in you would shine;
If I forgave you enough,
From cruelty you'd resign;
If I believed in you enough,
You'd have courage to be brave
To follow a path of integrity
And value this enough to save.

But this is how you like it,
As you wallow in your mud,
A quagmire of a pathetic life,
With the stench of ego's crud.
If you didn't like your life,
Then changes you would make.
To encourage you is pointless,
Since you like your ego made fake.

Behind your wall of superficial,
You're a weak, spineless, coward.
You're dependent upon your ego
To make you feel empowered.
But strip away your ego and
Of substance, nothing's there,
Which this is fine with you,
Since you don't give a damn to care.

For you I have and feel no hate,
Which I'm sure you'd like me to,
Since then you could claim victory
In making me just like hateful you.
You are everything I'm not,
Filled with hateful jealousy,
And I'm everything you're not,
Love, compassion, with integrity.

On the Outside Looking In you are
And it's all you'll ever be,
Because to keep you in my heart
Would mean destroying me.
I have a heart of Love,
Which you cannot understand,
Because yours is of hate
With your ego in command.

Hence, though upon my door
You in different ways knock,
You're wasting your time, dear,
Since I'll never it, unlock.
It's taken me a long time
To come to my conclusion
That you are nothing more
Than a toxic, cancerous intrusion.

I do not give up easily.
It takes a LOT for me to quit,
But this has been a dead end,
Which now I finally get.
You have no heart for a rose,
With your black ego in control.
You're a pit of pure emptiness,
With a black hole for a soul.

In my life now, there's only real,
No more room will I make
For empty, heartless black holes
Hidden under superficial, fake.
On the Outside Looking In is
As close as you'll ever get to me,
Since I've traded in the fake you
For the REAL He, which you'll never be.

He, I can depend upon
And with, have an honest REAL chat;
He, I can have faith in
Not an immature, fake technocrat.
With He, I know I'm Loved
Not just a target to on, inflict pain;
With He, I am protected
And I'm freed from my sanity being slain.

Between the likes of you and He,
You cannot compare,
Since He is real and true,
While you have lots of fake to spare.
On a scale from one to ten,
He is a thousand plus
And you? You're a negative of the same,
With the applicable title, wuss.

Ciao!

Cyberstalking-Nightmare

Howdy folks!

When we join, become a member of a website, we never think that the programmer or programmers of the site is/are going to use our login information to track us to use for deceptive purposes to cause havoc in our lives or to cause us and/or our devices harm. If this were the case, no one would be joining any site!

I do believe for the most part, most computer programmers have and live by some sort of a code of ethics and I'm aware some tracking is done for advertising purposes. But what I speak of here is NOT about tracking for advertising purposes. My login information was used to track me, yes, but also to use it to gain access to my computers in a profoundly invasive way; to watch and see and know EVERYTHING I am doing and saying, particularly in private. ..And not only have my computers has he gained access to, but also my phones, beginning with my landline.

It's been going on for eleven plus years, almost twelve, that I've been able to trace back to and so, it's become blatantly obvious I'm dealing with a person who has no real life to speak of, of his own, if he has nothing better to do with his time than to invade my life. I would hate to have his Karma bill! He must like to paint his own portrait as a despicable human being.

"Cyberstalking Nightmare"
(image pending)

Back in two thousand plus some years more of five,
When computers I'd just met, didn't yet with jive;
When a computer was just a box of technology,
A box of fascination and luring like a giant mystery,
I ventured out onto the Web, called the Internet,
And a choice I made then became a nightmare and is yet.

In the month of March, just inside the line,
I joined a community site, thought to be fine.
At first, though a newbie, it was an enjoyable place
And I was more than delighted to meet each new face.
Besides much to learn, there were so many things to do,
A place of fantasy for artists as well as writers, too.

I grew to love this place. It was my online home
And never too far away from this site did I roam.
I became devoted and dedicated, I couldn't do enough.
Wiki work I loved along with all sorts of other stuff.
Contributing to the site with graphics, time, and money
I considered as a pleasure but my reward wasn't funny.

Later on I joined another site, for children was its fame,
Built with like features and the owner was also the same.
In time I joined the staff who help to run each site
And became the grand mod and for awhile, all was alright.
Then the monkey business began, sporadically at first
Pranks were played on me, increasingly the worst.

I assumed they were because of a glitch or a bug,
But eventually I would lift and see underneath the rug.
The owner and the programmer, of the same identity,
Was behind the pranks that were happening to me.
I attempted to find out the what for and too, the why
From him, then others, but the results were only dry.

Instead, the owner and the staff mocked and bullied me
And I was grossly ostracised, called paranoid and crazy.
Then to add insult to injury I would also have to learn,
The second in command was plotting to destroy me and burn.
She had learned of the owner's secret activity;
Jealous she became and wanted to get rid of me.

All this was bad enough but it was just the beginning part,
For pranks became violations, the true nightmare would start.
With my login data, he was provided much information
That he would then use to track me, commit each violation.
He hacked into my emails, my websites, anywhere I was online,
Then into my computer and would gain access to my landline.

He knows everything I do, everything I say
That's done via technology, each and every day.
Eleven years and counting and this nightmare goes on
And there's nothing I can do about this spying jon.
He tracks packages right up to my front door;
Makes spam calls to my phone daily and galore.

He stalks me everywhere across the Internet,
Makes sure I know his presence, lest I should forget.
He destroyed my computer on October 4, 2015,
Fulfilling his threat to remove me from the online scene.
His presence in my life I must live with every day,
Whether I like it or not, since I'm without any say.

Yes, I've reported him to the FBI and too, the FCC.
They are well aware what he is, has been doing to me.
Still, they do nothing though equipped with resources
And many others I've pursued, many other courses.
But all avenues have led me to just another dead end
And I'm left to live with this anguish I can't mend.

Most don't want to know; most don't want to hear
About this hell I live with daily, year after year.
I try to brush it off by applying humour any time I can,
But the fact is I'm dealing with an obsessive, sick man.
He lives on his computer and hides behind it, too,
Uses his tech skills to wreak havoc, stir his sick brew.

In life we go through many unpleasant circumstances,
But eventually we get through them, can then make advances
To move forward with the ugly and the pain left behind.
We accept the fact that life can be at times quite unkind.
I keep hoping for the day, waiting to place this in my past,
But this ongoing nightmare appears it's to forever last.

How I wish I could turn back the hands of time
And know what I know now, written in this rhyme.
But I cannot and so, this torment with I must live
And grasp each spec of joy life to me will give.
To say it's not easy dealing with this nightmare I face
Is redundant but not when you're trying to do so with grace.

I've offered my forgiveness, even understanding,
But this is just a game to him, his ego is demanding.
He can't be very happy, if his life is to follow me around
Everywhere, with spam calls, as to me they are bound.
His life must be empty, of fulfillment, pitiful and lacking,
If he's so obsessed with my life to keep on with his hacking.

Bus-Ride-To-Friendship

Howdy folks!

I have no use for people who bully, make fun of, taunt, torment, etc. other people.

"Bus Ride To Friendship"
(image pending)

She was just an older lady who I so little knew,
Though people laughed at her, nothing did she do.
She'd go on about her business with not even caring,
While others made fun of the clothes she was wearing.

When she needed to get off the bus at the next stop,
Others tried to trip her, make her things drop.
I couldn't stand the cruelty this lady had to bear
And inside me grew much anger, empathy, and despair.

The next day I watched for her as I saved for her a seat
For I vowed to myself the day before would not again, repeat.
When she came onto the bus, I invited her to sit
Next to me knowing the others would then mock me too, a bit.

Somehow, it didn't matter, their words being directed
Cruelly at me as I was then too another one rejected.
We talked and got to know each other the length of her ride
And that day I made a friend so beautiful inside.

We made plans to meet for coffee later on in the eve,
As we tuned out the bullies who wished for us to grieve.
It was the start of a friendship that lasted twenty years
And we laughed and cried together through both and many tears.

She has gone to Heaven now and how I miss her presence here.
Who'd have ever thought that on a bus ride, I'd meet one so dear.
She'll be forever in my thoughts, forever in my heart
And in heaven there are no bullies to keep her set apart.

My dear friend, Arlene, this one's for you.
Thanks for being my friend, always so true!
The animals you treasured, your entire crew,
Are I'm sure in Heaven right there with you.

Addict-Of-Different-Sort

Howdy folks!

With some people it's difficult to figure out their path of what they perceive to be logic, when their actions and behaviour make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Trying to reason with such individuals is futile. Yet, these same individuals will have the audacity to label you as crazy. It's too bad there aren't mirrors to give these individuals, that when they would look into such a mirror, they would actually SEE themselves as they show themselves to others, instead of looking at themselves as their ego tells them they are.

"Addict Of A Different Sort"
Someone needs a life!
THIS is definitely a serious affliction, even have to seek me out on PoetrySoup!
PATHETIC!

Someone that I know has a serious affliction,
Not chemically induced though, is their addiction.
He is always needing another dose or fix
In one way or another or in ways, a mix.

Though I don't know why, how he became addicted,
He clearly shows to me he's definitely afflicted.
He believes he doesn't give indistinct hints
And no, he doesn't, just very distinct glints.

Now, what I will describe will seem silly indeed,
But to the one afflicted, it's an unhealthy need.
He cannot help himself for he cannot stay away
From this need of his of a fix each and every day.

So, continually, consistently, he follows me around
To see what I'm doing and to hear my voice, the sound.
Although to me, such seems too preposterous to picture,
In his life he has made me a permanent fixture.

Eleven years and counting, this has been underway.
One would think he'd tire to waste his life this way.
But it seems the more time that does goes by,
His addiction deepens and still I know not why.

As with every addict, his response is the same,
Denies he is is obsessed, refusing thus to claim.
But as with every addict who can't themselves, see,
To those looking on, the picture's painted clearly.

Oh, but there's more that needs to be said
And his logic will make you dizzy in your head.
He emphatically states he wants nothing to do with me,
But who is the one stalking to make his presence be?

His actions and behaviour tell everything to know
And for his addiction, he'll stoop to a level, low.
Eavesdropping is illegal, as is privacy invasion,
But somehow he justifies his every violation.

As with every addict, their admission of's a must.
Or else attempts to free themselves will be a bust.
Once this obstacle is met; head on, squarely faced,
The cause(es) of their addiction can then be traced.

I can only feel sorry for him, the prison he is in.
What a heavy burden he carries all around, within.
For one's life to be dependent upon such a crux
Can only be pathetic, a life that only sucks.

I wish I could help him but there's nothing I can do,
Although I've tried to show him there's good in him, too.
Even though he stalks me, clings to my every word,
He resents me greatly, making him appear even more absurd.

Perhaps, my perception could be altered a bit,
If I thought for a second I was with his heart a hit.
Then I could at least be able to somewhat comprehend
The reason for his constant watch that seems without end.

But change can only come when he chooses to make it
And not rely on his ego, enabling him to fake it.
To be someone's fix is not pleasant in the least,
When all you say and do is consistently policed.

The-Miserable

Howdy folks!

I'm pretty sure that everyone has met up with, crossed paths with, people who are miserable. Miserable people are insensitive, inconsiderate, cruel, nasty, hurtful, etc., etc., both with their words and their actions/behaviours without due cause. In other words for no reason at all, they talk and behave this way. They don't care they cause harm to and hurt others or that they carry out wrongs against others. They don't care about themselves in ways that count and so, they are incapable of caring about others as well. In fact, there are miserable people who actually delight in causing harm to others, even thrive on such despicable behaviour. Causing harm to others includes saying deliberate hurtful remarks and comments as well, causing internal pain, a very real pain, which can be felt within the person on the receiving end and is likely already in existence in the one causing it. Regardless however, about why miserable people inflict pain, doing so can't be justified simply because they are hurting inside themselves even though miserable people do exactly this, whether consciously or subconsciously.

The key thing to remember when having unfortunate encounters with miserable people is, it is "they" who are miserable "with themselves" and they're seeking to make others as miserable as they are, because it is true, "Misery loves company". They want others to "share their pain with them", because miserable people are really 'suffering people'. They are suffering inside for a number of reasons or a combination of. Insecurities: feeling inadequate in some way or ways, low self esteem deeming themselves as not having much value or worth, feeling unsuccessful, feeling unimportant, haven't realised or found their life's purpose, immaturity, etc., are all things that can contribute to a person feeling miserable.

Miserable people try to project onto others that which they don't like within or about themselves. By projecting onto others what they don't like about themselves, they think they're ridding themselves of whatever they're projecting and whoever they're projecting on, they think they're bringing that person down closer to their level and in so doing, they feel they've lifted themselves and even a sense of accomplishment with their behaviour. In their mind they think they are taking away from the other person what they see in themselves lacking. If they can't or don't have whatever it is they're coveting, they don't think another should either. 'Course, it's a very immature way of thinking.

When miserable people meet up with, especially people who are happy. loving, caring, successful and/or are good at what they do, are well liked by others, have integrity, and/or who are attractive in appearance to name some positive characteristics, this triggers resentment, jealousy, envy, etc.. People don't covet bad traits or characteristics in another person, but covet quality and good ones. A person covets because they feel they are lacking that which they covet. For this reason, it's good to remember that jealousy is really "inverted admiration".

A person who is mature, balanced, well adjusted is secure and comfortable with themselves and is aware of both their attributes and their shortcomings. When they see characteristics in others they find admirable, they don't covet. Instead, they are inspired and will make a conscious decision to try to incorporate into their own character what they see positive in another person. An immature person covets. A mature person is inspired.

I'm not saying though that mature, balanced, and well adjusted people don't experience feeling miserable from time to time, because anyone can and I dare say most have and/or do here and there, because life itself comes with curve balls, bumpy roads, and unexpected unpleasantness. But the difference is, well adjusted people don't allow themselves to remain in a state of misery. They find a way to fight against and rise above the unpleasantness so they can carry on with their life in a way that's workable for them to move forward productively without harbouring bitterness, resentment, and/or hatred in their hearts.

I honestly believe one of the best things that can be done for another person who is in that quagmire of misery is to help them find within themselves their own value, worth, and purpose, whether it be again or for the first time. However, there are some who have built a wall so thick and so tall, it's impenetrable and then there are others who just want to stay in that miserable quagmire state and seem to like wallowing in their misery and inflicting pain and misery onto others.

With all the rotten behaviour seen on the Internet,
It is best to remember, don't let ourselves forget
That those who are with themselves, so disatisfied,
Inflict their misery onto others to feel more gratified.

People who are bullies; are heartless, cruel, and mean,
Carry around within themselves a very ugly scene.
Because for who and what they are, they feel contempt,
They want others to be like them. No one is exempt.

Instead of taking measures to help themselves improve,
They choose to burrow deeper into the misery groove,
Because to rise above, there's initiative required
Of self motivation along with betterment desired.

Inadequacies within, though very unappealing,
The Miserable choose to compensate for by stealing
From others who have worked for and earned integrity,
As trophies for their vainness to share in their misery.

Actions and behaviours reflect on the source
Not on directed targets nor intended course.
The Miserable are only capable of misery projection;
Their ignorance cannot grasp their miserable reflection.

Wallowers in misery seek more company
Wanting others to feel their own misery.
Bringing down others to share their lowly roost
Is the highlight of their life and their only boost.

The Mierable will stop at nothing in their pursuit,
With no level too low to stoop to suck in a recruit.
They respect no boundaries; their wrongs they justify.
Deception of all sorts is their guide they live by.

It's important to remember to keep things in perspective,
To know the truth behind another's cruel objective.
For when we understand why others are unkind,
They cannot steal from us our own peace of mind.

When we encounter people who cause us a frowning,
We can be sure in misery they are drowning.
When all they can project is hate and bitterness,
They're void of anything except self loathsomeness.

However, bad behaviours we must not condone,
Incorporate or feed, make them part of our own.
Wrongs never make a right, regardless of the count,
And only right can override and the wrong surmount.

Greet negative with positive; wrongs greet with right;
Meet lies with truth; to all darkness meet with Light.
Never participate in an arena where there are no rules,
Where the grand prize is misery, awarded by its fools.

Unless one is a hermit, hidden from the world,
It's impossible to avoid all the misery being hurled.
Though we are tempted, we must take a stand
For misery is a slippery slope right into quicksand.

We can only show others a better alternative;
The choice they make thereafter with how they live,
Is theirs and theirs alone which they will decide
To stay on misery's path or to seek a better ride.

"The Miserable among us, so rotten and so rude,
Make themselves clairvoyant with their attitude.
As they attack others, they paint their self portrait
Of their miserable existence and pathetic state."
