The Power Of The Pen can be mightier than the sword
Or soothingly caressing to a heart when drowning in discord.

"The Power Of The Pen"
The Power Of The Pen releases thoughts born of the mind,
Positive or negative, with insight or of ignorance so blind.
Thoughts untouched by Love possessed within one's heart,
Can be weapons of destruction when with pen or tongue, depart.
But thoughts of mind released, caressed by Love, embraced,
Can preempt reconstruction, make a wrong with right, replaced.
The Power Of The Pen, as with the power of the tongue,
Words from can wound another, if carelessly are flung.
When thoughts of the mind form with Conscience absent from,
Words then dispensed can create an impact hard to overcome.
Thoughts laden with the Truth and so, through words expressed,
Can hurt deeply when lies and betrayal have become undressed.
The Power Of The Pen can be a weapon and a shield,
But only can the latter be, if Words of Truth we wield.
Words of Truth can be harsh, difficult pain for bearing,
Even when expressed with Love from another's caring.
But such pain only lingers when our ego causes us to stumble,
For Love can only heal when we're in the state of being humble.
The Power Of The Pen can be a deceptive tool,
Is widely used by media to help the zealots rule.
Propaganda, derived from thoughts to serve their selfish need,
Controls the minds of masses, divides, all for power and for greed.
Only when the pen's power is reclaimed and by all The People used,
As one, in unison, together, will the zealots' powers then be diffused.
The Power Of The Pen, may or may not be understood,
But its power can be unleashed for evil or for good.
Of which depends upon where thoughts have their start,
Whether or not they've been reviewed first by the heart
And not just any heart but a heart with Love alive, endorsed,
So The Power Of The Pen presides with goodness reinforced.
