Humans are supposed to be the most intelligent, most evolved of all life forms. Hmmm... perhaps then, intelligence is overrated? ♥
"We Humans"
Ah, yes, We Humans, with our brains so evolved,
With science and technology, we are so involved,
But through this process, we have gutted out our core,
Our hearts made to Love, now generic, aren't real any more.
Without hearts of Love, we now live in the dark,
Become appalled when of Light there is a tiny spark.
We dignify our egos, exalt them, with pride of, do acclaim,
Brag and boast about ourselves as humility wears the shame.
All the Elements of Love have become foreign ideals
And any hint of, we enact to procure quick repeals.
We are bored with contentment, peace brings us stress,
So we instigate with hatred to keep life in a constant mess.
We seek justification to avoid accountability.
We want to do our wrongs without liability.
Should we get called upon to make our wrongs right,
We then place the wronged in a shameful light.
We laugh at what's not funny, add our callous jokes,
We think bullying and antagonising are playful pokes.
We ignore the serious matters, completely tune them out,
When we should be focused on, spreading awareness all about.
Our heroes are sports' players and celebrities, like movie stars.
Our values are evaluated monetarily, like expensive cars.
Our favourite TV programs center around so-called reality TV,
All of which are faked dramas, to win our fake sympathy.
We condemn and criticise those who have the guts we don't.
Although we should be doing likewise, we know we won't.
We're afraid to rock the boat, be accused of causing trouble,
Because we don't want to shake up our own, little bubble.
We turn against each other to serve our, every selfish need,
Live to feed our lusts for power and our monetary greed.
We equate Love with sex and all sorts of disgusting porn,
Desecrating Love's Purity by which we are born.
Science has done wonders cultivating the arrogance of man
As man competes against to destroy Thee Master's Plan.
But plastic hearts that beat with ego's arrogance and pride,
Bear no gratitude or humbleness where Love does not reside.
Our generic hearts with plastic feelings and emotions,
Static electricity powers all the beating motions.
Love has been replaced with fillers in an attempt to imitate,
But only God has the Power, the Master Magistrate.
Yes, We Humans, the species of sophisticated souls,
We condemn angelic types while uplifting vile trolls.
We pillage and we plunder, we kill and destroy,
Have given Love its walking papers, while hatred we employ.
Yes, We Humans have worked diligently, have become obsessed,
To prove we are better than our Maker, deny how we are blessed.
Yes, We Humans have outdone ourselves, have proved our worthiness,
Our ability to complete our own destruction, our egos won't to, confess!
Yes, regretfully, I am a human much to my despair.
I wish I could divorce myself from this species to declare
Freedom from this race and all its appalling acts of shame,
For inside me still beats a real heart with God's Love to claim.
